"I started buzzing inside and made a conscious effort to stay present and not float away out the second story window." I loved this line. I find it so hard sometimes to live in the best moments. For fear they will end too quickly, or for some reason they aren't really deserved... or really mine. I do have to fight to stay "in it" sometimes.
I'm so happy for you in your celebrations, Jeannie. You inspire me to keep going. To work hard so I can "get lucky" - professionally speaking. 😉😉
I can't wait to hear about your first yoga class. Wish I didn't live so far away, or I'd be there for it!!!
Agh Meg you’re the best! That’s the new dream- that you’ll “get lucky,” stop in Nashville on your book tour, and come to Shakti for a class with me, whether we’re both attending or it’s one I’m teaching 🤞🏼😉 my first class was on Thursday night, and it was so much fun! I had eight students and they seemed to really enjoy it. I fought the good fight to stay “in it,” so I really enjoyed it too. 🙏🏼
Beautiful. Congrats on the teaching gig! That’s so cool. I’m happy for you. Asking for what we genuinely want is huge. The world seems to always be very attracted to self-confidence and self-belief. All we have to do is reach out and grab it. You’re doing that and I admire you for it. Also: Congrats on 100 subs!!! 🍾🎉🎊 You’re a truly unique, authentic voice and I appreciate your honest, open writing.
love this love this love this!!! Keep up the great work. And congrats on your upcoming classes! Today marks three months of teaching yoga. Each week I become more centered and comfortable in this new role. You said it perfectly, "The more I seek and step, the more it shows the Universe I am ready, and it meets me as far as I want to go. I keep giving, and God keeps giving." You're gonna be a great teacher! I can't wait to follow your journey. 💜
It gives me joy reading what you share about becoming more centered and comfortable, Sue. Thank you for sharing that. I bet you are an amazing teacher. I am behind on my Substack reads. Yours is one on my list so I can follow your journey too <3 yogi love!
I've hovered around 100 subscribers for almost three months and have done nothing to increase. I will soon enough, but it's nice, I feel I know who everyone is and feel something will be lost someday when I have 400.
Yaaaaaaaayyy! And YES to asking for what you want / speaking it aloud. Huh-mf’ing-zzah! I can think of fewer beautiful words than “community power flow.” 👯♀️💃🏽👯♀️
I feel you as my hype woman in this moment Kara 💃🏼🧘🏼💪🏼... still zen of course 🤣 okay while we’re putting things out in the universe, let’s manifest a yoga flow with each other one day!!!
Please ask my life partner how zen I am 😆😆 But I’m really glad you feel that from me because that’s exactly what I want! To see and support, especially as we’re becoming these tender versions of ourselves. I am so there for a shared flow. Have already had the thought, ohhhhh I wonder if there will be zoom classes :) I love today’s offering, thank you for putting words to the experience of growth, of becoming (which can contain so much painful, confounding, death) 💞 🦇
So glad it landed with you 🎇 🎆 the regular Thursday night class I teach now isn’t offered on Zoom, but I will let you know if I ever sub one of the classes that has the virtual option. I see you too and I’m cheering on every bit of your beautiful blooming
So grateful you made those choices in 2018. Even more grateful you stayed the course and picked yourself up when you would fall. Super proud to call you daughter yoga teacher and friend. ❤️
This song, much like this piece, feels like a victory lap. Like a beautiful moment of culmination that comes along a path of conscious change and choice and a lifetime living, and gives rise to a new beginning. Congratulations to you!
Also, I love the seeking and stepping as universe signaling and conversing. Beautiful. 💛

Congrats! So proud of all you’ve accomplished and how far you’ve come.
How good can it get?!
Thank you Auntie Debbie! I keep thinking I’ll find out just how good it can get, and it keeps getting better ☺️
